Letter from the security officer of IISc . . .
Dear sir,
At the outset i apologize Mr Sudarshan for not congratulating and thanking him personally for his dedication and courage to nab a culprit on Sunday, 24th Oct 2010 who was attempting to escape after stealing a Laptop from 1-F-27 room in the New hostel block. The entire credit goes to Mr. Sudarshan for his presence of mind and swift action taken by him at the instant hour.
The culprit who was brought to security office was interrogated and he pretended to be deaf & dumb and did not reveal any details, However he was handed over to Sadashivanagar police station and there he revealed his name as S.Kumar hailing from a village Kalipalli Vijayawada Andra pradesh and found that he only pretended( well trained) to be deaf & dumb to gain sympathy & get away from punishment.
I would invite you , Mr Sudarshan or any other to visit security office and read our occurrence register in which it was clearly mentioned that "
A alert student suspecting him alerted the security and he was caught and brought to security office"
I Reiterate that It was because of Mr sudarshan's presence of mind and effort the culprit was caught and none of the security personnel deserve any credit for this act and we sincerely appreciate him and request the student community to emulate Mr Sudarsahn to stretch supporting hand to security for keeping the Institute safe and secure.
<<<A paragraph here is removed on request, for a reason that the information written here might attract judicial complications>>>
I once again extend belated thanks and appreciate Mr Sudarshan for his fine effort and regret for distorted claim if made by the security.
With regards,
M. R. Chandrasekhar
Security officer
